Each year at our conference, library professionals and academics come together to share best practice and explore new ways of delivering and developing services to support and serve a wide range of Australian creative communities. This year we will take a particular look at the importance of music and performing arts specialists in libraries, whilst continuing to explore and offer ways to support generalists working with music. It is also an opportunity to introduce new collections, initiatives and innovations, particularly in digital delivery. A programme will be available online in the coming weeks. The event will held across 2 venues;
Day 1 : Australian Music Centre / APRA AMCOS Offices, 16 Mountain Street, Ultimo, NSW 2007
Day 2 : Australian Institute of Music, 1 - 55 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010
The program is taking shape and we have some very interesting papers around our theme of 'Portals and Pathways'. Download our draft program at the bottom of this page. Our Keynote Address will be delivered by CEO of the Australian Music Centre, John Davis and on Day 1 we have the return of the popular training session 'Getting to Know the Score'
Other sessions will include:
There will also be the opportunity for delegates to present 5 minute presentation about recent projects and innovations in their delivery of library services.
