IAML Australia holds an annual conference, allowing music library, archive and documentation centre professionals to come together to share skills and best practice and remain up to date with developments across the sector. The conference is hosted in a different state each year.

There is also an international conference to give a more global perspective on developments in the profession. This usually takes place in July, and is hosted in a different member country each year, most recently held in Dublin, Moscow, Naples & Sydney.
